The Role:
Supervise and monitor reporting entities to enforce compliance with AML/CFT/PF
obligations as outlined in the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of
Terrorism Act, 2020 as amended (AML/CFT Act). Support with the regulatory supervision
of Legal Persons under the Beneficial Ownership Act and supervise high risk Non-Profit
Organizations (“NPOs”).
Key Responsibilities:
- To conduct risk assessments to identify sectors and reporting entities of higher risks to
drive the supervision programme; - To plan and conduct inspections of Reporting Entities to assess the level of compliance
with the provisions of the AML/CFT Act; - To plan and conduct inspections of Legal Persons to assess the level of compliance
with the provisions of the Beneficial Ownership Act; - To monitor and supervise high risk Non-Profit Organizations;
- To guide and advise Reporting Entities on their AML/CFT obligations.
- To guide and advise Legal Persons of their obligations under the Beneficial Ownership Act;
Preferred candidate attributes: - Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or relevant field;
- AML/Compliance Professional Qualifications is a plus;
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in relevant field;
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written);
- Able to meet deadlines with strong attention to detail;
- Works well under pressure;
- Analytical and statistical skills including sampling, analysing, reviewing and report writing;
- An intermediate to advanced level of computer literacy, including MS Word, MS
Excel, MS Power Point; - Be self-motivated and communicative with colleagues, with the ability to support the
wider team when required in a dynamic working environment.
